There is quite a few things I love about this game.
Theres a TON however that I feel needs to be done to fix the server I'll start at the most important thing and drop it down further
1.FIXING GYMS
The Rock Gym is too damn hard! I just started and I had to EV Train about 10 Pokemon. Just today I lost 8 SEPARATE TIMES. One of the Gym Leaders even said I was cut off from battling him again since 7 out of 8 Times I battled him! I've probably lost about 1-2K's worth in cash because of this damn Gym! The biggest problem on the team is easily the Aerodactyl. The Pokemon is too fast and too strong.
I try getting a Ice-Type (Vanillite) out there and gets absolutely DESTROYED by one Stone Edge.
I tried using Metang (which btw expect that part of the complaints) and I manage to get the Aerodactyl down with a different pokemon. HELLO SUDDEN FIRE PUNCH. FROM A LUNATONE....
The simple fact is that certain teams need to be fixed!
2. Certain Pokemon Catch Rates

Love the server because there is a pretty big chance of actually getting a Legendaries and Shinies, and there is an actual /warp train, /warp ev, etc. :D

I like everything about this server, except for one thing. Every time a legendary spawns, its only ever a mod that finds it, specifically people who can /fly. i wouldnt mind if they used their pokemon to fly, because thats actually more fair as its a bit more difficult to fly with pokemon as it is harder to turn and you constantly have to keep your pokemon up in the air or it will fall. All the people who use /fly can very easily make sharp turns and they can just sit up in the air and wait while all the normal players are searching on the ground or are using their flying pokemon (and /fly flies much faster than flying pokemon).

This is my favorite server by FAR! I especially love Hoenn. Not just the staff but the community as a whole makes you feel included and helps at every opportunity.

I have been on this server for a bit over a month now. Does not even compare to the other servers I have been a part of. Everyone is so friendly and helpful! This is the server you want to be at if you plan on being a part of an amazing community and plan on making good friends!

I have been playing on this server for 11 months, and have not been disappointed since. The community is caring, the staff is hardworking, and everyone has a great passion for Pokemon! The server is always being updated and improved on making for an even greater experience. Journey even has a Teamspeak where people can meet others. I can truly say I have met some of the best people through Journey's Teamspeak. If you are looking for a place where you can enjoy playing Pokemon with other truly great people, this is the server for you!

I like the server but when i went into Hoenn Kanto and other regions i thought they were more like the actual pokemon games but otherwise its a pretty good server.

Glad to hear you like the servers! If anything they are more Pokemon themed with each server named after a region being a Survival Pixelmon server. The player run gym lines follow the gyms of each region and most of the spawns and builds are themed off of the regions accordingly.

i played for a month, and i don't recommend this server, here many reason (im trying to be objective):
so, sooo many user is using pokeradar, at least half (yes, im kind when i say only half). they are going in a straight direction, and always find bosses, even they can't be seeing because of walls, water, too far.walking really straight and not even looking around, like bot. it's like no one's care about.
-pay to win. with money, you can earn "grade" that allow you to use command like /hatch egg or /fly, move faster, etc. keep in mind movement plate is disabled, dknot is disabled (recipe), so enjoy your breeding adventure.better use pokeradar to find bosse to loot dknot.
-i spent all my times breeding perf poke (after a full month, i sold one perf abra 15k, meh ;_;) can't wait any longer,i wrote in chat
"i buy any perfect egg/poke 20k" one guy responded me, offered a "perfect" egg roserade 20k. i traded it and when i saw his ivs, it was 2x31 iv and 75% total iv, bad nature. totally scammed.
i asked help on chat, but this guy claimed is innocence with "i told him the ivs !" of course he didn't , and staff did nothing, no one cares.at this point i just gave all i had to a random kind guy and ragequit.
conclusion: pay to win server, scamming allowed, pokeradar for boss forbidden but use it because you will never be banned unless you're completely retard.

I'm sorry you had a negative experience with our server. I wanted to explain a few things that we do in order to clarify them. When it comes to destiny knot and movement plate crafting being banned, we don't do so in favor of the players who donated. For destiny knots, we banned the crafting of them because we wanted to maintain the economy we've had since 1.7.10. One thing we pride ourselves in is the fact that our server is very much economy based. Being able to make money on the server by selling pokemon and items is very important to us. We see other servers where making money is incredibly easy or incredibly difficult. We pride ourselves in the balance we created. So when we updated to 1.10 and realized Destiny Knots were craftable along with many other pixelmon held items, we banned the crafting of them and tweaked boss spawn rates to make them available. Recently we've actually begun tweaking the spawn rates of Destiny Knots on bosses to try to make them more common and readily available to the player base. We want them to be available to players but we don't want it to be too easy.
Movement plates are disabled for lag related reasons. Too many in one zone can cause an extreme amount of lag. We originally had them enabled but disabled them after a player built a lag machine using crafting plates. We have areas on each server where you can go for hatching eggs and try to promote breeding among players. Over time people will start mass producing good perfect breeds though. This would happen on any server. And as for the guy who scammed you, I would of tried to get in contact with a staff member. Sometimes things fly through chat or sometimes a staff members AFK. A staff member definitely would of made that individual trade back because the situation you described was shady on the scammers part. In a worse case senario they would of had a Manager go through the logs to verify what had actually happened.
As for Pokeradar, we don't really condone pokeradar. In fact, we have a filter that won't let you join the server if you have the mod installed. But people keep creating new iterations of the mod. In order to keep up we have to find those new iterations and ban them. Its hard to catch someone with Pokeradar. So hard in fact most servers don't even ban it. We do our best to try to create a fair environment for everyone that plays on our network.
I'm sorry you had a negative experience on our network, but the fact you took the time to write this in detail review shows you cared enough to do so. I hope that you are willing to give us another chance with these things in mind and if you ever have any criticism or issues to come to us directly. We would be more then happy to listen to said criticism to try and make our network a better then it is now. Everyone here is really nice, and I love the gym system because it's actually a challenge to complete the gyms and become a Pokemon Master!
